
A systemic information game
Aekan is a game of exploration and understanding. You play as a truth seeker with extrasensory abilities, whose mission is to unravel the mysteries of a living world and uncover its secrets.
A living world
Aekan's world is entirely procedural:
- Infinite worlds with smooth biome transitions
- Generated cities with unique NPCs
- Each NPC has a simulated life: goals, beliefs, desires
- NPC AI uses GOAP (Goal-Oriented Action Planning) to make autonomous decisions
Gameplay
The core gameplay revolves around psychic purification: identifying and cleansing corruption in the world through your extrasensory abilities. Rather than progressing through combat, you progress through understanding.

- Wave Function Collapse for procedural generation
- Flow System for corruption/purification mechanics

In development
The V1 prototype is under active development, focused on the psychic purification mechanic — the foundational gameplay loop. In parallel, the procedural world generation systems (Wave Function Collapse), NPC AI (GOAP) and corruption flow system are being actively developed and tested. The technical building blocks created for Aekan are extracted and published in the UnityToolkit project.
